SVP joins Little Shambles Jewellers in York.

SVP is now stocked in the beautiful city of York with Little Shambles Jewellers. We met up with them to find out a little more about this gorgeous jewellers. When did you first open Little Shambles jewellers? We first opened Little Shambles Jewellers about 11 months ago, so around May 2016 time. When did you decide to become a registered Fairtrade jewellers? We opened the shop as a Fairtrade Jewellers so we become one at the same time the shop opened. What does being a Fair Trade jeweller mean to your customers? Our customers know where their gold has come from and they know there hasn’t been any exploitation whilst obtaining it. Workers that mine the gold we use aren’t being harmed or dying and are being paid a fair wage. This means when our customers are wearing something such as a gold wedding ring they can be proud to show it off because they know it’s been ethically sourced. What a typical day looks like at Little Shambles Jewellers? As we’re in a tourist destination, we get a lot of tourists coming into the shop to take a look at our stunning range of jewellery. We also have quite a few people requesting repairs and resizes which is done in the workshop upstairs. As well as this we make sure to interact with customers through our social media pages and also through our website and email. If we were to visit York what would be your top 5 things to do and see? Explore the Minster and its grounds Visit the Shambles and its fantastic shops Take a stroll along the river Visit the Museum Gardens Walk along the historic city walls.
